Description
Kalimpong, at a height of 1250 m, is a charming bazaar town
in the foothills of the Himalayas, 50 km away from popular Darjeeling.
The town is just off the beaten track for an interesting getaway.
Kalimpong's nurseries produce orchids and gladioli for the entire
country. The fields and valleys are in perpetual bloom, with
poppies, rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, orchids, gladioli
and primulas in all their fragrant glory.
