Special Attractions
Swiss Miniature - Swiss Miniatur is located in Melide,
a 7 minute train ride from Lugano, in the Italian speaking part
of Switzerland. The park lies at the shores of lake Lugano surrounded
by mountains and luxuriant vegetation. Spanning an area of 14,000
square metres the park boasts of more than 120 models of all
the Swiss attractions like the Matterhorn, Jungfrau, the Chapel
Bridge, Chillon Castle, cathedrals and other buildings of Switzerland.
Since no model of Switzerland can be complete without its world
famous trains and means of transportation, Swiss Miniatur also
boasts of more than 3500 m of rails with no less than 18 trains,
funiculars, rack-railways, cable-cars and boats in motion. The
Park also has various kinds of rides for children, a souvenir
shop and a self service restaurant serving Italian, Chinese
and Swiss cuisine. You can also find Indian cuisine at the restaurant.

Titlis - A unique snow and glacier paradise and the highest
mountain excursion in Central Switzerland. The journey over
the imposing Titlis glacier is made even more spectacular -
thanks to Rotair. During the five minute journey the Titlis
Rotair cabins revolve once, thereby offering you a fascinating
360° panoramic view. Other highlights at Titlis include
The Fun Lift, Ice Flyer Chair Lift, the Glacier Grotto, Panorama
and Video room - the Toporama, Glacier Path - Stotzig Egg Trail,
Nostalgic Photo Studio, Souvenir Shop and of course skiing and
snowboarding all year round.
Schilthorn - From the top, at almost 3000 mts altitude,
you can admire the breathtaking 360° alpine panorama.
Over 200 mountain peaks in a spectacular landscape are revealed
as the world's first revolving mountain - top restaurant,
The Piz Gloria, slowly turns. The unimpeded global view stretches
from the Titlis along the Bernese Alps to the Mont Blanc and
across the fertile lowland plains to the Black Forest. This
restaurant, with 400 seats and a large selection of a-la-carte
dishes, takes a full circle within a comfortable 55 minutes.
During this time you can admire the wonderful world of the
mountains. You can also visit the 'Touristorama'- a multimedia
room where you can watch the highlights from the James Bond
film ' On Her Majesty's Secret Service and multi-vision show
on the region.
HARDER KULM (25 April - 25 Oct) - Famously known as Interlaken's
home mountain- Harder Kulm forms a short and delightful excursion
at the back door of this scenic Swiss city. The Harder Railway,
actually a funicular, is almost 100 years old and still going
strong! From the world famous resort of Interlaken, the little
red carriages climb the 1.4 km track to the Harder Kulm (1,322
m ) giving a breathtaking bird's eye view of the entire Jungfrau
Region. The Alpine foothills to the north and mighty 4000-metre
peaks to the south form a garland around the Harder. This attractive
vantage point offers fine views of the Bernese Oberland.
Itinerary Highlights
Day 1- LUGANO
Arrive in Lugano by train from any Swiss border or airport.
Enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere in this southern town of
Switzerland. Stroll along the lakeside promenade or go up to
Monte Bre or San Salvatore. Overnight stay in Lugano
Day 2 - LUGANO
Today take a 7 minute train trip to Melide to visit the Swiss
Miniatur. This special attraction of Switzerland covering
an area of 14,000 sq mts, houses replicas of the famous buildings,
castles and cathedrals and has over 3500 mts of rail with
no less than 18 trains, funiculars and cable cars in motion.
Overnight stay in Lugano
Day 3 - LUCERNE
This morning make your way to Lucerne, the town of the
famous Wooden Chapel Bridge. Day is at leisure to visit the
Swiss Transport Museum, the IMAX theatre or the Lion Monument.
Overnight stay in Lucerne.
Day 4 - LUCERNE -MT. TITLIS
A memorable experience awaits you today. Depart on an
excursion to the glacier paradise of Mount Titlis. Ascending
the world's first revolving gondola ROTAIR, ride the spectacular
ice flyer chairlift and see the ice grotto. Overnight stay
in Lucerne.
Day 5 - INTERLAKEN
This morning transfer by train to Interlaken, the captivating
capital of Switzerland's beautiful Bernese Oberland. The town
of Interlaken is located in between the lakes, Thun and Brienz
at the foot of the towering trio of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
This evening take an optional Swiss or Indian dinner cruise
on Lake Brienz(May to Aug only). Overnight stay in Interlaken.
Day 6 - INTERLAKEN - SCHILTHORN
Depart for an excursion to Schilthorn with its unique
revolving panoramic restaurant (Piz Gloria) and its thrilling
James Bond 007 history. Overnight stay in Interlaken.
Day 7- END OF TOUR
Depart to a Swiss border or airport or continue your stay
in Switzerland on your own.
