Description
Coorg is on the Western Ghats. Set amidst verdant valleys, imposing
mountains and teak wood forests, this is one of the most beautiful
hill stations you can visit. It lies on Karnataka's southwestern
end, covering an area of 4,102 sq km.

Activities
While in Madikeri, be adventurous and try Coorg cuisine, which
is delightfully different, spicy and smattered with Greek influences.
Try the Panthi or spicy pork curry, the Koli or chicken curry
and the delicious rice rotis. And if you want to take a little
bit of Coorg back with you, pick up some delicately flavoured
Coorg honey and the highly aromatic coffee from one of the many
outlets scattered about town. Or you can simply be a recluse
and do absolutely nothing but watch nature in all its splendor.

Talacauvery: Just 48km away, Talacauvery is a place of great
spiritual significance as this is the birthplace of the River
Cauvery. Located on the slopes of the Brahmagiri Hills, this
place promises some great views of the surrounding countryside.
